Homefinder is a lettings services giving you greater choice on where you live by helping you search and bid on council and housing association properties in the area.
You'll need to register to use the site with details of your household and if you're eligible for the housing register you'll then be able to bid on homes. You can bid on 2 properties in each bidding cycle.
There are a number of housing associations in the area. These are also known as registered providers or registered social landlords.

Home exchange scheme
Tenants of Ashfield District Council, housing associations, and other councils who want to move may be able to exchange, or swap, homes with another tenant. You can do this even if you don't have the same landlord. Use the Homeswapper website to find out more and apply for an exchange.
