Cooling towers

All premises where cooling towers and evaporative condensers are situated must register with the local authority under the Notification of Cooling Towers and Evaporative Condensers Regulations 1992.

We recommend you read the full Act before you apply.

We keep a public register of all premises in Ashfield with cooling towers or evaporative condensers. You can find this in the related documents section of this page.

Notify us of cooling towers and evaporative condensers

You can notify us of cooling towers and evaporative condensers on your premises through the online form on the Gov.UK website.

You will need a site plan to complete this application. This can be a scan or photograph of a plan if you don't have an electronic copy.

Notify us

We must process and approve your application - tacit consent does not apply. When approved we'll send you a registration slip and add your business details to the public register.
