Assisted bin collections

If you can’t move your bin to the edge of the property yourself, let us know. We can collect your bin from its storage place on your property.

Letting us know you need an assisted bin collection will take less than 5 minutes. You can apply for yourself or on behalf of another person living in Ashfield, such as a relative.

We’ll need to know the name and address of the person needing help, and a little bit about their situation. You must supply copies of supporting documentation with the application.

Examples of supporting documents we are able to accept as follows:

  1. Disabled Driver Blue Badge Scheme
  2. Confirmation of infirmity / frailty by a Doctor.
  3. Confirmation of infirmity / frailty by a visiting care personnel such as your Health Visitor, Nurse or Community Care Assistant
  4. Registered Blind.

Confirmation of infirmity / frailty documents must be on headed paper or feature a surgery stamp.

Assisted collection reviews

Assisted collections are reviewed every 2 and a half years. We will contact you and ask you to re-submit the evidence to ensure your assisted collection is still valid.

You can apply today, using our portal, Ashfield 24/7. If you already have an Ashfield 24/7 account, just log in and select 'New Requests'. If you don't, it's quick and easy to create one.
