The BIG Ashfield Spring Clean 2025

We are rolling out The BIG Ashfield Spring Clean across the District for the 8th year as part of our commitment to make Ashfield a cleaner place to live, work and visit.

Residents are invited to dispose of a small amount of bagged household waste during their designated week.

On top of this, Flying Skips will be out and about across the District for you to dispose of extra waste, toys and bric-a-brac.

Our free bulky waste collection scheme will start again in April.

Kerb side collections

Residents are invited to dispose of a small amount of bagged household waste. Waste should be bagged and put out with your regular bin collection during the relevant week, on your usual collection day. We will have additional vehicles for extra waste so it may not be collected with your regular collection. As long as it is in a bin liner and doesn’t contain hazardous materials, we will collect it.

Please ensure the bagged waste is presented before 6 am on the morning of your collection. You can check when your regular collection is due on our bin calendar:

Flying Skips

Flying Skips will be out and about across the District on the Saturdays listed below. Bring along your excess bagged waste, toys and bric-a-brac.

We have a live map showing the location of all of the flying skips.

This year we cannot accept soft furnishings or upholstered furniture – mattresses, sofas, armchairs, dining chairs, office chairs - at the flying skips, because of legislation. These items can be booked as part of your free bulky waste collection instead.
