Full line-up announced ahead of Sutton Christmas Light Switch-on

As part of Sutton’s annual Christmas celebrations, the full line-up for this week’s switch-on has been announced.

Out of the Box Events on behalf of Ashfield District Council will bring all the joy of the festive season back to Sutton, Kirkby and Hucknall this year.

Sutton’s event, sponsored by EveryoneActive will kickstart festivities on Thursday 21 November in the Market Place car park.

Running from 4pm to 7.30pm, the Sutton event will include a Christmas market, fun fair, and hot food and drinks to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.

Schools from across Ashfield and community groups will be providing the entertainment for the switching on of the Christmas lights throughout November and December.

The big man himself will be arriving on his sleigh as Santa will greet young visitors thanks to Sutton Rotary Club and ATTFE.

Cllr Helen-Ann Smith, Deputy Leader at Ashfield District Council, said:

“Christmas is a magical time of year and the switching on of the Christmas lights is always a popular fixture in the Ashfield calendar.
“Sutton Town Centre will look fabulous when the Christmas lights are on and for me it is the start of the festive celebrations. We are excited to see the buzz of excitement in Sutton on Thursday and I’m looking forward to seeing you all come down and join us for this.”
