Heritage and conservation

Our local heritage and historic environment is an asset of enormous cultural, social, economic and environmental value, providing a valuable contribution to our sense of history, sense of place and quality of life.

We consider heritage and conservation in the planning process and decisions we make. This can be around: 

• historic environment and listed buildings
• conservation areas
• Local Heritage Assets
• and with Article 4 Directions.
